Each piece comes out of his interest in visual and contemporary art and carries his signature: everything in the catalog is an original design.
Behind it is a simple idea: 3D printing opens up shapes that are built another way.

The name
Siño is a reworking of signo, short for signorina, young lady: the nickname Dario uses for his niece. Milan is part of where the project comes from, the city where fashion and design have always talked to each other, and those are the two grounds Siño builds its identity on.
From industrial prototyping to jewelry
Dario grew up around 3D printing: his father has used it for some thirty years to design technical components and industrial prototypes. That familiarity led to the idea of taking the same precision somewhere else entirely, onto something you wear.
How a collection begins
Every collection starts from a stated inspiration.
Architecture: Sydney echoes the sails of the Opera House. A natural form: Greta ring reworks a seashell with its pearl. An ancient figure: Kaiya comes from the mandala, the geometry Hinduism and Buddhism represent the cosmos. A rhythm: Laura follows the movement of waves. Or pure invention, as Vega: interlocking conduits and subterranean paths that capture the hidden energy of the city.

The people behind Siño Milano
Two people with complementary backgrounds run Siño Milano.
Dario Covini is the designer and founder. He handles everything on the technical side: the three-dimensional drawing, the choice of materials, the printing, the finishing.
His background brings together an engineering education and years spent abroad, but the drive comes from somewhere else: from contemporary visual art, and from a
fascination with forms that imagine the future. It is what he looks for in every collection, and the reason he puts his work this way:

Amina looks after business development and the relationship with retailers and customers. She brings more than ten years of international experience between Italy and the United Arab Emirates, part of it in architecture and design. She joined with a stated goal: to take Siño Milano from a project to a company.

Siño Milano has no shop of its own: the jewelry is bought online and can be seen in person at the trade fairs and events we take part in.
